Atlanta - Governor Sonny Perdue issued the following statement today regarding the retirement of James M. Lyle as Executive Director of Georgia Public Broadcasting:
"Jim's career in public service has spanned more than 32 years and his commitment to the State of Georgia is unquestioned. I sincerely thank him for his leadership of Georgia Public Broadcasting. During the last five years, Jim has worked tirelessly to transform the management of GPB and the valuable services they provide for the people of Georgia. As he moves forward into retirement, I wish him and his family the very best."
Lyle's retirement is effective June 30, 2004.
