Panelists Announced for Third Racial Reconciliation Forum

Atlanta - Governor Sonny Perdue will host his third Racial Reconciliation Forum Tuesday, December 16, 2003, at 7:00 p.m. in Savannah, GA, at the Coastal Georgia Center. Forum panelists will include Governor Perdue; Crystal Boggs, Senior in Mass Communications at Savannah State University and former member of the Chatham County Youth Commission; Patrick Jones (Atlanta), Executive Vice President, Journey Productions; Janixia Reyes, Senior Class President of Atlanta's Cross Keys High School and actively involved in the National Conference for Community and Justice programs; Baoky Vu (Atlanta), Research Director, A. Montag & Associates, and Ex-Officio member of the Governor's Asian American Commission; and Ellis Washington, III, Youth Governor of Georgia, 59th YMCA Youth Assembly and a senior at Tifton High School.
"As we look to the future of our state, the Georgia family will become even more diverse than we are today," said Governor Sonny Perdue. "I look forward to an engaging dialogue concerning the challenges we face in securing a prosperous future for all our citizens."
Stephanie Ray, Associate Dean of Students and Director of Diversity at the Georgia Institute of Technology, will serve as the event's facilitator and lead the discussion. Panelists will take questions and comments from audience members for approximately one hour during the program.
