- Governor Sonny Perdue today appointed Representative Rich Golick to serve as Assistant Administration Floor Leader in the Georgia House of Representatives. Golick joins Representative Larry O'Neal (District 117) who serves as Administration Floor Leader and Representative Mark Burkhalter (District 42) who serves as Assistant Administration Floor Leader. Golick is filling the vacancy created by the election of Representative Glynn Richardson to House Minority Leader.
"Rich will be a valuable addition to my leadership team in the House," said Governor Sonny Perdue. "I look forward to working with him to advance a fiscally responsible and principled agenda for the people of Georgia."
Golick, 37, represents District 34, Post 3 in Cobb County and was first elected in 1998. He serves on three House committees - Insurance, Regulated Industries, and State Institutions and Property.
