Statement from Governor Perdue Regarding the Resignation of DFCS Director Blount-Clark

Atlanta - Governor Sonny Perdue today issued the following statement regarding the resignation of Division of Family and Children Services Director Juanita Blount-Clark.
"Juanita took a tough job at a difficult time, and I appreciate her service to the state," Governor Perdue said. "I know that she understands the need for new leadership and a new vision at DFCS."
Juanita Blount-Clark announced today that she will be stepping down as director of the Division of Family and Children Services effective September 30, 2003. She will be assuming another position in public service and will work to assist in the transition to new leadership. Ms. Blount-Clark has served as DFCS Director for almost four years.
