Atlanta - Governor Sonny Perdue announced today two appointments to the Board of Directors of the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority - Samuel Gude of Atlanta, GA and Alton Knight of Griffin, GA.
Brief biographies are provided below.
Samuel Gude, 45, Atlanta, GA - Gude serves as Executive Vice President of the Government and Education Group of Skanska USA Building, Inc. He also serves on the Alliance Theatre Board, Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education and Atlanta Partners for Education. He is a 1992 graduate of Leadership Atlanta. Gude and his wife, Lynn, have three children and are members of Cascade United Methodist Church.
Alton Knight, 58, Griffin, GA - Knight is a partner in Erwin, Knight & Cook, CPAs. Knight is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Griffin/Spalding Development Authority, the Griffin Rotary Club, and the Griffin Chamber of Commerce. Knight holds a degree in Accounting from Valdosta State University and a Masters of Professional Accountancy from Georgia State University. He and his wife, Annette, have three children and are members of First Baptist Church in Griffin.
