Atlanta - Governor Sonny Perdue issued the following statement today regarding the DaimlerChrysler auto plant:
"I spoke with DaimlerChrysler officials in Stuttgart today and they informed me that a final decision on the Sprinter Van facility to be built in Pooler, GA., will be delayed. This type of delay was not unexpected. Pooler is the location of choice and we remain hopeful of a green light decision this year."
Glenn Cornell, Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Industry, Trade and Tourism issued the following statement:
"We are continuing to work on the details of the DaimlerChrysler contract and we look forward to a positive outcome in the near future."
