Statement of Governor Sonny Perdue

Atlanta - Today Governor Sonny Perdue issued the following statement regarding the election of Dana Lemon to the State Transportation Board:

"I applaud the State House and Senate members of Georgia's 13th Congressional District for their historic election of Dana Lemon to the State Transportation Board. As the first woman, and the first African-American woman, Dana will bring a unique perspective. I look forward to a cooperative relationship with Dana and the entire board as we seek to meet the many transportation challenges facing the people of Georgia."
