Plastic Tubing Industries to Locate New Plant in Warrenton

Facility Represents $11 Million Investment, 30 new jobs

WARRENTON, Ga. – Governor Sonny Perdue announced today that Plastic Tubing Industries (PTI) will locate a new factory in Warrenton, creating 30 new jobs and an $11 million investment. The facility is expected to be operational by the summer of 2007.

“We have worked very hard to expand economic opportunities in all corners of the state,” said Governor Sonny Perdue. “I’m pleased that Plastic Tubing Industries recognizes the tremendous potential that exists here in rural Georgia. Our economic assets are bringing new jobs and investment to the state in record numbers.”

PTI has been manufacturing high-density polyethylene (HDPE) corrugated drainage pipes and fittings for more than twenty years. The company offers a complete line of single or double wall pipe with sizes ranging from three inches to 24 inches in diameter. PTI supplies drainage products for a variety of industry applications including agriculture, wastewater, road projects, and other recreational, environmental and industrial uses.

Georgia’s Quick Start training program, consistently ranked as one of the nation’s best state-sponsored training programs, will provide training for the plant’s employees. Quick Start is administered by the Department of Technical and Adult Education.

“Plastic Tubing Industries, Inc., is very excited about partnering with all the rural counties of Georgia where we can promote and market our patented Multi-Pipe Systems (MPS),”

said Michael Maroschak, founder and CEO of Plastic Tubing Industries, Inc. “Our newest facility being built in Warren County, which is known for its warmth and graciousness, will produce plastic drainage products that will be shipped to our growing customer base throughout the state of Georgia.”

“The Warren County Board of Commissioners is very excited to have Plastic Tubing Industries of Georgia locating in our new industrial park,” said John Graham, chairman of the Warren County Board of Commissioners. “PTI will be the flagship tenant and a wonderful start for this park. Locating PTI will be a great economic boost and provide quality jobs for our community. We look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with Mike Maroschak and this great company.”
