ATLANTA – Governor Sonny Perdue issued the following statement today regarding pre-clearance by the U.S. Department of Justice of Georgia’s voter ID law:
“I am pleased the Justice Department has given pre-clearance to Georgia’s voter ID law. Requiring valid, photographic identification is a common sense step to ensure voter integrity and sound elections.”
