Governor Perdue Signs Sandy Springs Legislation

            ATLANTA – Governor Sonny Perdue signed today House Bill 37, legislation allowing a referendum to determine the incorporation of Sandy Springs.  The referendum is scheduled for June 21, 2005.

            “At the heart of our nation's founding is the principle of self-government,” said Governor Sonny Perdue.  “I'm pleased that the residents of Sandy Springs will determine the future of their community by their own votes.”
