International Company will Invest more than $55 Million in Corporate Campus Addition
ATLANTA – Governor Sonny Perdue broke ground today for a new Automatic Data Processing (ADP) facility to be built in Alpharetta, representing an initial investment of $55 million in construction with the prospect of additional investment in the future.
“ADP is a valuable member of our Georgia business family and a good neighbor for the Alpharetta and North Fulton community,” said Governor Sonny Perdue. “We’re proud of ADP’s success and we look forward to helping them grow and succeed here in Georgia.”
Alpharetta Mayor Arthur Letchas, Fulton County Commission Chair Karen Handel and ADP President and COO Gary C. Butler were among those participating in the ceremony.
“We are pleased to be expanding our presence in the state of Georgia with the opening of this new facility in Alpharetta,” said Gary Butler. “ADP’s Alpharetta campus is headquarters for several of Employer Services businesses including National Accounts and Benefit Services. Employer Services is the largest division of ADP, serving over 50 million employees worldwide with human resources, payroll and benefit services.” Butler is a native of Georgia and an alumnus of both Georgia Tech and the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia.
“We appreciate economic allies like Georgia Power and the City of Alpharetta who helped make this expansion happen,” said GDEcD Commissioner Craig Lesser. “This kind of investment filters through the economy and enhances many aspects of life for people in the state and the local community.”
“The city of Alpharetta is proud and appreciative of the confidence in our community that ADP demonstrates with this location decision and the overall growth of its Alpharetta operations,” said James Drinkard, Economic Development Coordinator for the city of Alpharetta. “This is further affirmation of our aggressive efforts to maintain a positive business environment and dynamic, quality community.”
Automatic Data Processing, Inc., better known as ADP, is one of the largest providers transaction processing and information-based business solutions, with approximately $8 billion in revenues and 550,000 clients worldwide.
