ATLANTA, GA - Governor Sonny Perdue announced today the following executive appointments:
John Culpepper, 59, Chickamauga, GA, Member -Culpepper is the city manager for Chickamauga. He serves as a member of the board of directors for Friends of the Chickamauga Battle Field Park, Walker County Water and Sewerage Authority, Coosa Valley Regional Development Center and the Walker County Historic Preservation Commission. Culpepper is the 1 st Sergeant of the 37 th Georgia Living History Group Reenactors and 1 st Brigade Commander of the Georgia Division of Sons of the Confederate Veterans. He serves as the treasurer for Bethel Baptist Church. Culpepper and his wife, Brenda, have one son.

Steve Lowe, 37, Jasper, GA, Tenth Congressional District Representative -Lowe serves as an engineering contractor with CSL Consulting Inc. He previously served as an associate firmware engineer for Schlumberger Electricity. Lowe serves as a youth pastor at Talking Rock First Baptist Church and as executive director and co-founder of the Joy House. He graduated with a bachelor of science degree in e lectri cal engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Lowe and his wife, Wendy, have one son.
Barbara J. Bunn, 72, Conyers, GA, At Large Member - Bunn previously served as a State Representative in the Georgia House of Representatives . She has served as a classroom teacher in Georgia, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Kansas. Bunn serves as a charter board member of Prevent Child Abuse of Rockdale, as a board member of Rockdale Coalition of Children and Families and as a board member of South Rockdale Civic Association . She is past president of both Rockdale Kiwanis and Rockdale Retired Teachers. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in education from Kansas State University. Bunn and her husband, William, have two children.

Eddie R. Cheeks, M.D., 55, Augusta, GA, Physician Member REAPPOINTMENT- Cheeks serves as assistant clinical professor for the Medical College of Georgia Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a s a c linical i nstructor for the Morehouse School of Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He serves as president of Augusta Medical Partners, LLP, as president and member of the board of directors for the Academy of Women's and Children's Health, LLC, Inc., as a member of the executive board of the Georgia State Medical Association, Inc., as a member of the board of directors for MedTrust, Inc. and as a member of the board of trustees for Paine College. He graduated with a bachelor 's degree from the University of Georgia and a medical doctorate from the Medical College of Georgia. Cheeks and his wife, Monique, have four children.
Roger E. Hill, M.D., 51, Marietta , GA, Osteopath Member REAPPOINTMENT -Hill practices medicine at Wellstar Health System. Hill is a member of the Georgia Osteopathic Medical Association and the American Osteopathic Association. He graduated with a doctorate of osteopathy from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Hill and his wife, Lynn, have two children.
J. Grant Lewis, M.D., 56, Rome, GA, Physician Member -Lewis practices internal medicine as a physician and serves as medical manager for Floyd Primary Care. Lewis serves as a diplomate on the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the Medical Association of Georgia, American Society of Internal Medicine, and the Floyd/Polk/Chattanooga Medical Alliance. Lewis is a charter member of Leadership Rome, the founder and medical director of KiKi's Kids and a lifetime member of Trout Unlimited. He gradua ted with a bachelor's degree from Oxford College and Emory University and graduated with his medical doctorate from Emory University School of Medicine. Lewis and his wife, Barbara, have three children and three grandchildren.
Roland Steven Summers, M.D., 65, Savannah, GA, Physician Member REAPPOINTMENT- Summers is a physician practicing in Savannah . He serves as a Georgia Delegate for the American Medical Association. Summers is the past president of the Georgia Medical Society, the Medical Association of Georgia and the Rotary Club of East Savannah. He graduated with bachelor's degree from John Hopkins University and a medical doctoral degree from Northwestern University. Summers and his wife, Sylvia, have five children.
William Allan Woolery, M.D., 53, Warner Robins, GA, Osteopath Member REAPPOINTMENT -Woolery is an internal geriatrics physician with Primary Healthcare in Warner Robins. He serves as a teacher in family medicine for the American Academy of Family Physicians, a clinical preceptor for Georgia State University's Nurse Practitioner Program, Emory University's Physician Assistant Program and family practitioner for the Joint Board of Family Practice's Joint Board Student Preceptorship Program. He also serves as a clinical assistant professor for Mercer University's Department of Family and Community Medicine . He graduated with a bachelor's degree in biology from Central State University, a master's in microbiology from the University of Oklahoma, a doctorate of osteopathic medicine from Oklahoma State University College of Ostephathic Medicine and a doctoral degree in health administration from Kennedy-Western University. Woolery and his wife, Pam, have three children.

Lois Davis Salter, 56, Berkeley Lake, GA, Mayor Representative REAPPOINTMENT -Salter is mayor of the City of Berkeley Lake. She is a member of Leadership Gwinnett and a member of the Atlanta Junior League. Her community involvement includes activities with the High Museum, the Atlanta Botanical Gardens and the Atlanta Symphony . She graduated with a bachelor's degree from Mercer University, a master's degree in education from the University of Georgia and an educational specialist degree from Georgia State University. Salter has two children.
