ATLANTA – Governor Sonny Perdue today praised the State Senate’s bipartisan passage of his Slam Spam Email Act (SB62). The bill passed 50-3.
“Georgians should be able to check their E-mail without having to wade through a cesspool of spam. The Slam Spam E-mail Act will help put our citizens back in control of their online lives by holding spammers accountable for abusing the Internet and harassing Georgians with fraudulent, misleading and unwanted e-mail. The Senate spoke very clearly in support of this bill today and I look forward to its consideration in the House.”
