The State Personnel Administration, formerly the Georgia Merit System, works with state agencies to hire, train, develop and retain their workforce, enhance organizational performance, and provide employee benefits and financial security services through the administration of the State’s flexible benefits program.
State agencies work with the State Personnel Administration as enthusiastic partners in planning, designing and implementing strategic HR initiatives in the areas of absence management, leadership development, human capital management systems, performance management, recruiting, policies and procedures, succession planning, workforce planning, and employee engagement.
Doyle is a former owner of a 240 store retail chain, After Hours Formal Wear. He previously held positions with Arthur Andersen & Co. and the Augusta National Golf Club. He received an undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame. Doyle is an active member of the community, including the Atlanta Businessmen’s Roundtable and Vice-Chair of the Cashiers Historical Society. He and his wife of 39 years, Carol, have three grown children.
In 2009, Doyle was selected as a Toll Fellow, one of the highest honors a public servant can receive.
