MAGE SOLAR Locates North American Headquarters in Dublin

DUBLIN –Governor Sonny Perdue joined local officials for the ribbon cutting ceremony for MAGE SOLAR American Headquarters. MAGE SOLAR (pronounced MAH-gah), GMBH, a Ravensburg, Germany-based manufacturer of solar energy products, will locate its North American headquarters in Dublin in Laurens County. A division of parent company MAGE GROUP, the company markets high-grade photovoltaic modules, high-performance branded inverters, and mounting systems used in the solar energy industry.  This project represents a $30 million investment, and will create 350 jobs over five years.

“The presence of MAGE SOLAR’s North American headquarters in Georgia speaks volumes for the strategic steps we are taking to bolster the state’s position as an emerging leader in the renewable energy sector,” Governor Perdue said.  “I have been in seven countries in the last year and everywhere we have been we have found that global leaders are looking for energy solutions.  Companies like MAGE are providing those innovative solutions and doing it right here in Georgia.  That is good news for Georgia's growing energy sector and good news for Georgia families looking for meaningful job opportunities.”

The MAGE SOLAR Laurens County operation will also serve as a manufacturing facility for solar panels, making it the only manufacturer of its kind in Georgia. The facility will include a division for engineering and integration solutions for solar parks and building installations.  In addition to the manufacturing facility and headquarters, the company also plans to build an academy for solar education.
