Judicial Nominating Commission Recommends Nominees to Fill Vacancy on State Court of DeKalb County

ATLANTA – Governor Sonny Perdue’s Judicial Nominating Commission (JNC) has submitted recommendations to fill a judgeship on the State Court of DeKalb County. The vacancy was created by the resignation of Judge Edward E. Carrier Jr.

The JNC submitted the following short list of names:

• Akintunde Akinyele – Senior Assistant District Attorney, DeKalb County
• Sherry Boston – Judge, Dunwoody Municipal Court
• John B. Gatto – Judge, Georgia Office of State Administrative Hearings
• Stacey K. Hydrick – Partner, Hedrick Law, LLC
• Dax E. Lopez – Associate, Foltz Martin LLC
