Governor Signs Bill Outlawing Synthetic Marijuana

ATLANTA – Governor Sonny Perdue today announced that he has signed House Bill 1309 which makes K2, also known as synthetic marijuana, illegal. HB 1309 was sponsored by Rep. Jay Neal and Sen. Ed Harbison.
“K2 is a potent drug that can be difficult to detect,” said Governor Perdue. “Adding it to our state’s banned substances list will protect Georgians’ safety and health.”
In addition to HB 1309, Governor Perdue also announced that he has signed the bills the following bills:
