JNC Recommends Nominees to Fill Vacancies on the Alcovy Superior Court, State Court of Cherokee County

ATLANTA – Governor Sonny Perdue’s Judicial Nominating Commission (JNC) has submitted recommendations to fill a new judgeship on the Superior Court of the Alcovy Judicial Circuit and the State Court of Cherokee County. Both judgeships were created this year by the General Assembly.

The JNC submitted the following short list of names:

Alcovy Superior Court

• Lori B. Duff – Managing Partner, Jones & Duff, LLC
• Robert Stansfield – Partner, Greer, Stansfield, & Turner, LLP
• William “Ken” Wynne, Jr. – District Attorney, Alcovy Judicial Circuit

State Court of Cherokee County

• David L. Cannon, Jr. – Solicitor General, Cherokee County
• Allen Dee Morris – Assistant District Attorney, Appalachian Judicial Circuit
• S. Jeffrey Rusbridge – Partner, Dyer & Rusbridge, P.C.
