Governor Perdue Announces Judicial Appointment

ATLANTA – Governor Sonny Perdue today announced the appointment of Jay M. Roth to fill the vacancy on the State Court of Fulton County created by the resignation of the Honorable Penny Brown Reynolds. Judge Reynolds resignation went into effect on October 22, 2008.
A brief biography is provided below:
Jay M. Roth, 52, Atlanta – Roth currently serves as Chief Magistrate Judge in Fulton County, with experience as a Superior, State and Environmental Court Judge. He also served as a Senior Staff Attorney, Assistant Solicitor General and Investigator for Fulton County. He has worked with the Atlanta Senior Olympics and volunteers at the Atlanta Food Bank. Roth received his bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and a law degree from Atlanta Law School. He and his wife Renee have three children.
