Statement from Governor Perdue on the Passing of Ms. Sara Gonzalez

ATLANTA – Governor Sonny Perdue issued the following statement concerning the passing of Ms. Sara Gonzalez, President and CEO of the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce:

“Mary and I are deeply saddened by the loss of Ms. Gonzalez.  She will be fondly remembered for a legacy of leadership in numerous groups from the 1996 Olympic organizing committee to the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.  Her devotion to improving the community and her selfless service to make the future brighter for others is an inspiration to us all.”
