Statement from Governor Perdue on the Statewide Water Plan

ATLANTA – Governor Sonny Perdue today released the following statement concerning the General Assembly’s passage of the Statewide Water Plan:

“I applaud both the Senate and the House for the passage of the Statewide Water Plan today,” said Governor Sonny Perdue.  “This process has been one of the most inclusive and transparent ones I have ever seen, with each stakeholder offered a seat at the table.  With this plan now in place, we have a framework from which to work to conserve, protect and sustain Georgia’s precious water resources.”
