Judicial Nominating Commission Recommends Applicants to Fill Judicial Vacancies

ATLANTA – Governor Sonny Perdue’s Judicial Nominating Commission (JNC) has submitted recommendations to fill the vacancies on the State Court of Treutlen County and the State Court of Putnam County.   The vacancy on the State Court of Treutlen County was created by the appointment of Judge Donald W. Gillis to the Superior Court, Dublin Judicial Circuit.  The vacancy on the State Court of Putnam County was created by the retirement of Judge Jesse Copelan, Jr.

The JNC submitted the following recommendation to fill the vacancy within the State Court of Treutlen County:

  • James C. Garner – Solicitor-General; Treutlen County

The JNC submitted the following recommendations to fill the vacancy within the State Court of Putnam County:

  • Trenton Brown III – Private Practice; Trenton Brown III, P.C.
  • Christopher D. Huskins – Private Practice; Huskins Law Firm LLC
