Statement of Governor Perdue Regarding Georgia Delegation’s Legislation to Alleviate Water Crisis

ATLANTA- Governor Sonny Perdue issued the following statement regarding the introduction of legislation by Georgia’s delegation to alleviate the water crisis:

"I’d like to extend my sincere gratitude to Georgia's entire congressional delegation for helping us fight the worst drought in the history of our state,” said Governor Sonny Perdue.  “I commend their efforts to take a proactive step that will allow us to preserve the water we need for human consumption.  Even with these measures, I encourage every Georgian to do his or her part to conserve this vital resource, both indoors and out."
