Pierce County to Receive Federal Assistance for Hurricane Frances

ATLANTA, GA – Governor Sonny Perdue announced today that Georgia has received approval from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for adding Pierce County to a federal disaster declaration in response to the impact of Hurricane Frances.
“The state has worked diligently to deliver relief for citizens and local governments impacted by recent hurricanes. This is welcome news for Pierce County as they continue to work to restore public infrastructure,” said Governor Sonny Perdue.
With the addition of Pierce County, there are now a total of 80 approved counties eligible to apply for public infrastructure assistance.
