ATLANTA, GA - Governor Sonny Perdue announced today the following executive appointments:
Board of Commissioners of the Georgia Student Finance Commission
Pearlie Toliver, 57, Macon, GA, 8 th Congressional District Representative- Toliver is the Vice Pesident of BB&T and has been in the banking industry for thirty years. She serves on the Board of Commissioners for the Macon Housing Authority and the Board of Directors for Beall's Hill Development Corporation. Toliver is also a member of the Tubman Advisory Board and the Community Advisory Board of the Mercer Center for Community Development. She attended Mercer University where she earned a certificate in banking. Toliver and her husband, John, reside in Macon.
Georgia Medical Center Authority
Clay Boardman, 44, Augusta, GA, At Large Representative- Boardman is the CEO of Augusta Capital, LLC. He served as Chairman of the Board for the CSRA Community Foundation, is a member of the Board for Augusta Tomorrow, Inc., and a member of the Georgia Cities Foundation Board. Boardman is the Chairman-elect of Historic Augusta, Secretary and Treasurer for Walton Technologies, a Trustee of the Springfield Village Park Foundation, and Vice Chairman of Programs and Properties for the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation. He is a former Board Member for the First Union Bank of Augusta, past Chairman of the Economic Development Committee of the Augusta Chamber of Commerce, and a former Trustee for the Augusta Preparatory Day School. Boardman attended the College of Charleston. He and his wife, Catherine, have three children.
Charlene Sizemore, 50, Augusta, GA, At Large Representative- Sizemore is the CEO of Sizemore, Inc., a total contract service business. She is the Chairman of the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce and is on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce. Sizemore serves on the Development Authority of Richmond County and is the Chairman of the CSRA School to Work Partnership. She is a past President of Child Enrichment, Inc., a member of Child Enrichment Endowment, Inc., and a member of the Kiwanis Club. Sizemore and her husband, Preston, have three children and three grandchildren.
