Governor Perdue Greets Prime Minister of Japan

SAVANNAH , GA – Governor Sonny Perdue and First Lady Mary Perdue today greeted Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi of Japan upon his arrival at Hunter Army Air Field. Governor Perdue was joined by Senator Zell Miller, Senator and Mrs. Saxby Chambliss, Congressman Jack Kingston, Congressman and Mrs. Max Burns, Savannah Mayor Otis Johnson, and General Webster, Base Commander of Ft. Stewart . Prime Minister Koizumi was also greeted by students from C.B. Greer Elementary School , located in Brunswick , GA , waving American and Japanese flags. The third graders presented Prime Minister Koizumi with a clock in the shape of Georgia , bearing the school logo, and were given commemorative G8 lapel pins by Governor and Mrs. Perdue.
