Governor Perdue Announces Appointment to Fulton County Superior Court

Atlanta - Governor Sonny Perdue announced today the appointment of Thomas Campbell to the Superior Court in Fulton County.   

The Fulton County Superior Court vacancy was created by the announced resignation of Judge Elizabeth E. Long. 

A brief biography is provided below:

Thomas R. Campbell, Jr., 63, Roswell, GA - Campbell has been actively engaged in the general practice of law since 1965.  In addition, Campbell has been a member of the Georgia State House of Representatives since 1989 and has served on the Appropriations, Judiciary, and Rules Committees.  He served as a judge in the City of Mountain Park Magistrate 's Court from 1982 to 1989 and as a judge in the City of Ball Ground Municipal Court from 1988 to 1989.  Campbell is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the North Fulton Bar Association, where he has served as President and a Board of Directors member. He is a member of the Roswell Founder's Club Executive Committee, the Leitalift Foundation Board of Directors, and previously served on the North Fulton Regional Hospital Board of Directors and the Roswell Historic Preservation Commission.  Campbell earned undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Georgia.  He and his wife, Martha, attend Roswell United Methodist Church.
