Governor Perdue Welcomes American Home Shield to Georgia

LaGrange, GA - Governor Sonny Perdue today officially welcomed American Home Shield's (AHS) new employee call center to LaGrange and the State of Georgia. Since the initial announcement in January 2003, the company has operated in temporary space with 70 employees waiting on completion of a new 60,000 square foot facility which will generate an additional 400 jobs.
"As Governor, I want to create jobs and economic opportunity for Georgia families. So I'm happy today for the 470 employees who will staff this call center," said Governor Sonny Perdue. "And I want to officially welcome American Home Shield to the Georgia business family."
Governor Perdue was joined by LaGrange Mayor Jeff Lukken , AHS President Scott Cromie, and Bobby Carmichael of the LaGrange Development Authority. AHS was founded in 1971 and is the nation's largest home warranty provider.
