Atlanta - Governor Sonny Perdue issued the following statement today following unanimous passage of Senate Bill 400 strengthening Levi's Call, Georgia's version of the Amber Alert System.
"Child protection legislation needs to be passed during this legislative session. We owe it to the children of this state not to delay this legislation any longer. With today's unanimous vote in the Senate approving reforms in Levi's Call, we are off to a good start. I thank the Senate for their strong, bipartisan support of this bill. I am committed to working with the legislature to ensure that the entire child protection package makes its way to my desk."
