Governor Perdue Announces Appointment to Forsyth County State Court

Atlanta - Governor Sonny Perdue announced today the appointment of Troy Russell McClelland to the State Court in Forsyth County.

The vacancy on the State Court in Forsyth County was created by the appointment of David Dickinson to the Bell-Forsyth Judicial Circuit.

The swearing-in ceremony will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. in the Senate Chamber.

A brief biography is provided below:

Troy Russell McClelland, III, 46, Alpharetta , GA - McClelland is a Partner at Dreger , Coyle, McClelland, Bergman & Pieschel , LLC . He is formerly the Chief Assistant District Attorney for the Blue Ridge Judicial Circuit Court. Most recently, McClelland was appointed to a special task force by the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners to study needs and make recommendations for a Courthouse, Jail and Law Enforcement facility. He received his undergraduate degree from Armstrong State College and a J.D. from University of Georgia School of Law. McClelland and his wife, Janice, have one child.
