Governor and First Lady Light Christmas Trees at State Capitol

- Governor Sonny Perdue and First Lady Mary Perdue today lit the Christmas tree forest at the State Capitol to kick off this year's holiday season. Remarks were given by Governor Sonny Perdue and Ray Crawford, Interim Executive Director of the Georgia Building Authority. The Atlanta Boy Choir and the Army Ground Forces Band Brass Quintet provided entertainment. The United States Marines' Toys for Tots program accepted donated toys to help make this Christmas a special one for children across Georgia. Charles Berry of Berry's Christmas Tree Farm and Nursery donated the five trees, which were grown in Georgia, on behalf of the Georgia Christmas Tree Association.
