Governor Perdue Announces Appointments to Medical Examiners Board and Georgia Athlete Agent Regulatory Commission

Atlanta - Governor Sonny Perdue announced today one reappointment and two appointments to the State Composite Board of Medical Examiners and two appointments to the Georgia Athlete Agent Regulatory Commission.
The three appointments to the Board of Medical Examiners complete the board. The Governor has two appointments to the five-member Georgia Athlete Agent Regulatory Commission. Two of the remaining appointments are to be filled by the Speaker of the House and one is to be filled by the Lieutenant Governor.
State Composite Board of Medical Examiners
Grace Violet Davis, 39, Sylvester, GA (Reappointment) - Davis has been a member of the Board since 1998. She is a member of the American Board of Pediatrics, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and Chairman of the Georgia Composite State Board of Medical Examiners. She has volunteered with the American Lung Association and the Maternal Child Health Coalition. Currently, she serves at Sylvester Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine. Davis received her undergraduate degree from Andrews University, her MD from Washington University, and her MPH from the University of South Florida. She and her husband, Jamie, have three children.
Joseph C. Finley, 64, Alpharetta, GA - Finley is a current Board Member of the Gwinnett Hospital System, Chairman of the Hospital IT Systems Committee and Medical Director at Gwinnett Technical Collage, Radiology Technicians. Finley attended Emory University, Navy Flight Surgeon School in the United States Navy and obtained his Fellowship in Neuroradiology from the Emory University Hospital System. Finley is a member of the American Medical Association, the Georgia Medical Association, the Georgia Radiologic Society and the American College of Radiology. Finley is married to wife, Nancy and they have two children, J. Clayton Jr. and Lisa.
M. Vinayak "Vino" Kamath, 52, Martinez, GA - Kamath is in private practice in Augusta, GA specializing in cardiothoracic surgery. Formerly Kamath was a member of the faculty at the Medical College of Georgia and USC School of Medicine, Department of Surgery. Kamath is currently a member of the Alexis de Toqueville Society, United Way of CSRA and former Honorary Co-Chairman for the State of Georgia's National Physician's Advisory Board on HMO Reforms. Kamath received his Masters Degree in Surgery from the University of Indore Hospital. Kamath and his wife, Sheila, have two children.
Georgia Athlete Agent Regulatory Commission
James David McCleary Jr., 44, Roswell, GA - McCleary is owner and president of Facility Maintenance Source, Inc. in Atlanta and previously served as Operations Manager for Reliable Building Maintenance, Inc. McCleary is active in the Roswell Rotary Club, North Point Community Church, and the Coverdell Leadership Institute. He and his wife, Pam, have two children.
Dennis Alan Pitts, 48, Gainesville, GA - Pitts presently serves with the Waters Realty Group as an associate broker. Pitts served as Hall County Commissioner from 1995 to 1998. He is married to Jane Pitts.
