Governor Perdue Announces Executive Appointments
ATLANTA - Governor Sonny Perdue announced today the following executive appointments.
Board of Directors for the Georgia Lottery Corporation
Ann B. Crowder, 62, Savannah, GA, Member- Crowder recently retired as Vice President and Senior Credit Officer at First Chatham Bank. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Goodwill Industries of Savannah and the Board of Directors of the United Way of the Coastal Empire. Crowder is a former chairman and member of the Georgia Student Finance Commission. She earned a bachelor's degree in business and economic education from Winthrop College and a master's degree in business and distributive education from the University of South Carolina. Crowder and her husband, James, have two grown children and three grandchildren.
Georgia Council for the Arts
Linda M. Fulford, 60, Carrollton, GA, Eighth Congressional District Representative- Fulford is Vice President of Ra-Lin and Associates, Inc., a Georgia corporation that provides general contracting and construction management services. She is a member of both the Spade and Trowel Garden Club and the Carroll County Cultural Arts Alliance. Fulford earned an associate's degree in business from Massey Junior College. She and her husband, Ray, have two grown children and five grandchildren.
State Housing Trust Fund for the Homeless Commission
Brenda J. Garland, M.D., 51, Cornelia, GA, Member- Garland is an internal medicine physician engaged in private practice at Heritage Internal Medicine in Demorest. She is also an active staff member and Medical Director at Habersham County Medical Center and Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at Mercer University. She is a member of the American Medical Association, the Medical Association of Georgia, and the Habersham County Medical Society. Garland currently serves on the Habersham County Board of Commissioners and is a member of the Habersham County Rotary Club. She earned a bachelor's degree in biology from North Georgia College and State University and a medical doctorate from Emory University. Together, she and her husband, Brent, have five grown children and one grandchild.
