Governor Perdue Announces Executive Appointments

ATLANTA Governor Sonny Perdue announced today the following executive appointments.

State Housing Trust Fund for the Homeless Commission

Michael A. Beaudreau, 32, Lawrenceville – Beaudreau is a major accounts representative with Ricoh Business Solutions, Inc.  He serves on the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners, the board of directors for Family Promise of Gwinnett and is the vice-chairman of Gwinnett County Board of Health.  Beaudreau earned a bachelor’s degree from Clemson University.  He is married to Tegwen Beaudreau.

 

Barbara J. Alexander, 74, Atlanta – Alexander is a principal broker with Barbara J. Alexander Realty Company, Incorporated.  She serves on the Atlanta Board of Realtors, the National Association of Real Estate Brokers and the National Association of Realtors.  Alexander earned a bachelor’s degree from Clark-Atlanta University.  She and her husband, Reverend Cameron M. Alexander, have four children and nine grandchildren.

Greer A. Johnson, 56, Duluth (REAPPOINTMENT) – Johnson is the former president of Greer Johnson Enterprises, Inc.  She is the founder of the Mickey Mantle Charitable Foundation and served on the Greensboro County Chamber of Commerce, the Greensboro County Rotary Club and the Greensboro Airport Authority.  Johnson earned a bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State University.  She is married to Lemuel E. Wiggins, III.

 

Board of Directors of the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority

C. Caric Martin, 50, Powder Springs – Martin is the senior vice president and community executive at Georgian Bank. He served as the chief financial officer at Georgia State Bank and as a vice president of the general accounting department of the National Bank of Georgia. He is a member of the city of Powder Springs’ Downtown Development Authority and a former board member of the Sweetwater Valley Community Action Mission Project. Martin earned a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from the University of Georgia. He and his wife, Grace, have three grown children and three grandchildren.

 

Board of Driver Services

Wilbur Thomas "T" Gamble, III, 47, Dawson – Gamble is a partner of Collier & Gamble.  He previously worked as an attorney at Powell, Goldstein, Frazer & Murphy in Atlanta.  Gamble is a member of the Terrell City Development Authority and the  Dawson Rotary. He is a former president of the Terrell County Heart Association.  He is a member of the Terrell County Historical Society. Gamble earned a bachelor’s degree from Auburn University and a law degree from Mercer University.  He and his wife, Sheryl Lynn, have two children.

 

Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District Governing Board

Steven R. Woodruff, 44, Canton- Woodruff is the president and chief executive officer of Woodruff & Howe Environmental Engineering, Inc. He served as the director of environmental engineering and safety at Gold Kist, Inc. in Atlanta. He is a registered professional engineer in eight states, as well as a board member and secretary for the Georgia Agribusiness Council. Woodruff earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida. He and his wife, Lisa, have two children.

 

Non Public Post Secondary Education Commission

Clinton G. Hobbs, 39, Young Harris – Tenth Congressional District Representative – (REAPPOINTMENT) - Hobbs is the vice president of enrollment management at Young Harris College. He is a member of the Towns County Fire Board, Georgia Education Articulation Committee and a past master of Stephens Masonic Lodge. Hobbs earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from the University of Georgia. He is married to Teresa Hobbs.

 

Bonnie C.  Cleland, 63, Rincon – Twelfth Congressional District Representative – (REAPPOINTMENT) - Cleland is the director of administration at Herty Advanced Materials Development Center. She is the vice president of the Silverwood Homeowners Association. She and her husband, Robert, have two grown children and three grandchildren.

 

Consumer Advisory Board

J. Clifford McCurry, 59, Savannah – First Congressional District Representative – McCurry is the Savannah branch chairman of Hilb Rogal & Hobbs. He is a founding director of Bank South. He serves on the Savannah Economic Development Authority, Candler Health System and the Georgia Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Savannah, Savannah Quarterback Club and a graduate of Leadership Savannah and Leadership Georgia. McCurry earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and professional designation from the American Institute for Property and Liability Underwriters. He and his wife, Kathy, have two grown children and two grandchildren.

 

Board of Community Affairs

Carolyn M. Crayton, 76, Macon, Member At Large – Crayton is president of marketing and community relations for WPGA/58 ABC Television, Register Communications, Inc.  She is the founder, president and chief executive officer emeritus of the Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful Commission and the Macon, Georgia International Cherry Blossom Festival.  She serves as a director on the International Festival and Events Foundation, National Arbor Day Foundation and on the board of directors of Keep America Beautiful, Inc. She and her husband, Lee, have two grown children and four grandchildren.

    

GeorgiaCommission on Child Support

Edward H. Lindsey, Jr., 49, Atlanta- Lindsey is a partner attorney at Goodman, McGuffey, Lindsey and Johnson, LLP. He is a member of the Georgia House of Representatives. He serves as vice chairman of the House Judiciary Committee and as a member on the House Ways and Means, Education and Industrial Relations committees. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Davidson College and a law degree from the University of Georgia. He and his wife, Elizabeth, have three children.
