Statement of Governor Perdue on the Passing of Jeff Davis

ATLANTA- Governor Sonny Perdue issued the following statement regarding the passing of his dear friend, Jeff Davis, who perished today in an aviation accident outside of Asheville, North Carolina today:

"Nobody could ask for a better friend than Jeff Davis. He was loyal as a Lab and as feisty as a Chihuahua. If he was your friend, he loved you, warts and all. If he wasn’t, you didn’t have to worry about it. His humor and his love of life were unsurpassed on this earth. Jeff Davis was truly one of a kind, leaving his mark on the hearts of men wherever he went. He will be missed here, but all who knew him know that his faith was strong and he is smiling down at us from heaven.

"The hearts of my whole family, of the extended family of my office and of all the Capitol go out to Judi and all of Jeff’s loved ones. Our prayers are with them."
