Israeli Companies dbMotion and Resolute Networks Commit to Growth in Georgia

RA’ANANA, ISRAEL – Governor Sonny Perdue announced today during his inaugural trade mission to Israel that two Ra’anana-based companies have chosen locations in Atlanta to grow their operations.

While speaking to a group of Israeli companies in Ra’anana, Governor Perdue welcomed dbMotion to the state. The company has decided that its North American subsidiary, dbMotion Inc., will be headquartered in Atlanta. dbMotion Inc. was established earlier this year to help meet the growing demand for regional health information network (RHIO) technologies in the North American market.

“Georgia is the perfect location for dbMotion Inc. to locate its North American headquarters,” said Governor Sonny Perdue. “This technology has the potential to vastly improve health care, especially in rural areas. Increased access to patient information along with tight security controls and privacy protections is a winning combination, and this announcement is indicative of the partnership Georgia is strengthening through our business mission to Israel.”

“Our vision is to improve the quality and effectiveness of healthcare delivery by making relevant patient medical information available at the point-of-care through secure electronic data exchange between otherwise unconnected or geographically remote organizations,” said Peter van der Grinten, general manager, US & Canada for dbMotion, Inc. “We feel the North American market is primed for a proven solution like ours and are excited about making Atlanta our home.”

“We chose Atlanta because of the city’s proximity to our major markets and the unlimited access to a skilled workforce,” added van der Grinten. “In addition, Israel-based companies are given a great deal of support by the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce in Atlanta.”

Governor Perdue also congratulated Resolute Networks Ltd. on its decision to expand its Atlanta presence. The company plans to move major marketing and sales functions to its U.S. headquarters, already located in Atlanta.

“I am very pleased that Resolute Networks has found success in Georgia and is expanding in Atlanta to meet the growing needs of its customers,” said Governor Perdue. “Telecommunications is a key industry for Georgia, and this announcement shows that we continue to be a leader in this important technology sector.”

Resolute opened its U.S. Headquarters in Atlanta in mid-2004, with extensive support from the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce (AICC). This was followed by the start of collaboration with the Atlanta-based Arris Inc. In February of this year, Arris and Resolute participated in the US-Israel Broadband Exchange, organized in Atlanta by AICC and Cox Communications where this transaction was announced, and in June, was recognized as the “Deal of the Year” at AICC’s annual Eagle Star Awards Gala.

“With the strong market traction we are experiencing in the U.S., coupled with the excellent support we are receiving from the AICC in Atlanta, it is a natural step to boost our management and support staff in our office there,” said Zeev Pritzker, CEO of Resolute. “Atlanta is a major telecommunications hub and has a concentration of major broadband equipment vendors that is very central to our market.”

Today marked the first full day of the Georgia Technology and Trade Mission to Israel. In addition to a forum with Ra’anana business leaders where these announcements were made, Governor Perdue met Ra’anana Mayor Nahum Hofri to discuss the city’s ongoing sister-city relationship with Atlanta. The Governor also today addressed a group of high-tech companies in Petach Tikvah at the offices of IBM’s Global Technology Unit.

The Israel trade mission is Governor Perdue’s eighth mission since January 2003, and his first to the Middle East. He has a full week of business and diplomatic meetings scheduled, including a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon on Wednesday.
