John Bozeman Appointed Legislative Affairs Director

ATLANTA – Governor Sonny Perdue announced today the appointment of John Bozeman as director of legislative affairs for the Governor's Office.  Bozeman 's primary responsibility will be working with the Governor's Floor Leaders and other members of the General Assembly to gain passage of Governor Perdue's legislative package.  He will also serve as legislators' main point of contact with the Governor's Office.

“John Bozeman has over a decade of legislative affairs experience in Georgia and is a tremendous addition to the administration.  His extensive knowledge of the legislative process and deep understanding of public policy has earned him the respect of lawmakers,” said Governor Sonny Perdue.  “With John joining Graham Thompson in our Legislative Affairs Office, I am confident in our ability to have a smooth and productive legislative session next year.”

John Hamilton Martin Bozeman , 33, Locust Grove , GA – Bozeman has been engaged in Georgia politics his entire professional career. His experience spans more than a decade of work with the Georgia General Assembly, the Executive Branch and other regulatory agencies. Bozeman began his career in legislative affairs with the Georgia Bankers Association (GBA) where he advocated on behalf of the banking industry regarding issues affecting Georgia 's financial marketplace. After completing his tenure with GBA, He continued his work in legislative affairs and joined GeorgiaLink Public Affairs Group. As a principal in the firm, Bozeman represented some of Georgia 's most respected corporate citizens and employers as well as a number of highly regarded professional associations. He served as an active member of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce's Government Affairs Committee, and is an active member of the Executive Board of the Georgia Public Affairs Society (GPAS) – an organization that provides educational, networking, and professional growth opportunities to members of Georgia 's public affairs community. He and his wife, Stacey, have two children.
