Bowers Appointed to State Court of Cobb County

ATLANTA – Governor Sonny Perdue announced today the appointment of Carl Wayne Bowers to the State Court of Cobb County .  The vacancy was created by House Bill 1650, passed during the 2004 legislative session.

A brief biography is provided below.                                                                                               

Carl Wayne Bowers, 41, Acworth , GA – Bowers is a partner at Bowers, Guerra & Yeager, P.C.  Previously he served as a solo practitioner, Cobb County Magistrate Court Judge, assistant solicitor of the Cobb County Solicitor General's Office and a law clerk to the Honorable G. Grant Brantley of the Cobb County Superior Court.  Bowers earned a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Georgia and a law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law.
