First Lady Mary Perdue Announces 5th Annual Governor's Mansion Easter Egg Hunt

ATLANTA, GA – First Lady Mary Perdue announced today that she will host her 5th Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Thursday, April 5, 2007 from 3:00-5:00pm. This year’s Easter Egg Hunt will be open to the public with advance reservations.  

The 5th Annual Easter Egg Hunt will also be the host event for April’s Kids First Initiative, a baby shower to benefit Families First. Families First is a non-profit agency in metro Atlanta that helps young pregnant women continue their education and reach independence, and offers specialized foster care for children in need. Families attending are encouraged to bring an item from the list below. This year’s Easter Egg Hunt will be open to the public with advance reservation.

Families who wish to attend should RSVP in advance by calling the Constituent Services Hotline at (404) 656-1776.  Only phone reservations will be accepted.  Reservations will be accepted on a first come, first served basis until capacity is reached. Activities at the 5th Annual Easter Egg Hunt will include the Easter Egg Roll, an Egg Hunt, Egg Decorating and an Easter basket cupcake creation station. Children will be invited to personalize bunny and duckling puppets at the "Create-a-puppet" workshop, and enjoy other activities such as a moonwalk and face painting.   

Participants are asked to arrive at the Mansion at 2:30pm.  Guests with reservations should enter the main security gate and their name will be on the list to allow admittance.  A maximum of five tickets will be issued per person. Children of all ages are welcome to attend, as long as there is at least one child seven years old or under and no more than two adults per group. Reservations are required for every attendee, including small children.
