Statement of Governor Sonny Perdue on the Reopening of Pilgrim's Pride Douglas Plant

“We welcome the news of the reopening of Pilgrim’s Pride’s Douglas plant that the community and state have worked so hard on.  This plant will directly employ over 1,000 Georgians and support over 3,000 other jobs, including growers.  This is one time we’re happy that the chickens have come home to roost.”
