ATLANTA– Today, Governor Sonny Perdue announced he will appoint Charles E. Evans as the solicitor-general for Richmond County. This vacancy was created by the resignation of Harold V. Jones, II.
A brief biography is provided below:
Charles E. Evans, Augusta, GA – Since 2003, Evans has maintained a general practice of law. He also serves as Assistant District Attorney, and maintains a role as a prosecuting attorney by serving as the part time solicitor-general in several municipal and probate courts. He is the chair of the Augusta Technical College Paralegal Program and is a member of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church. He and his wife, Mary, have one son.
