ATLANTA – Governor Sonny Perdue announced today the following judicial appointment:
· Daniel J. Craig – Superior Court, Augusta Judicial Circuit. The vacancy was created by the resignation of the Honorable Neal Dickert.
Brief biography is provided below:
Daniel J. Craig, 52, Augusta, GA – Craig has practiced law in Georgia since 1979. He has served as District Attorney for the Augusta Judicial Circuit since 1993. Previously, he served as the Municipal Court Judge for Grovetown, Georgia. In 2004, he received the National Trial Advocacy Award, and in 2000, he was named the District Attorney of the year. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Augusta College and his law degree from Mercer University School of Law. He and his wife Crystal have three daughters and two grandsons.
