Governor Perdue Announces Executive Appointments

ATLANTA, GA - Governor Sonny Perdue announced today the following executive appointments:

 

Board of Community Health

Inman "Buddy" English, M.D., 69, Warner Robins, GA, At Large Representative- English is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  He is also a member of the Georgia Master Gardeners Association, the Native Plant Society of Georgia, and the American Camellia Society.  English earned a Bachelors degree from the University of Georgia and a medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia.

Ann McKee Parker, PhD., 59, Atlanta, GA, At Large Representative- Parker is the Vice President of Human Resources and the Corporate Psychologist for Waffle House, Inc.  Previously, she was a staff psychologist for Corporate Psychology Resources and operated her own practice.  Parker taught at Southwest High School and served on the faculty of Mercer University, Agnes Scott College, and Georgia State University.  She is a member of the Georgia Psychological Association Ethics Committee and former president of the Georgia Psychological Association.  Parker is the founder and corporate secretary of the Georgia Network of Psychologists and serves on the State Health Planning Review Board.  She has three children.

 

Board of Motor Vehicle Safety

Trummie Patrick, Jr., 59, Roswell, GA, At Large Representative- Patrick has been an agent with State Farm Insurance for thirty years.  Currently, Patrick serves on the State Board of Registration of Used Car Dealers and Used Motor Vehicle Parts Dealers .  He is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and the Roswell Founders Club Board.  Patrick is the former president of the Roswell Rotary Club, serves on the University of Georgia Alumni Board, and the American Cancer Society Board.  He is a graduate of the University of Georgia.  Patrick and his wife, Sylvia, have two children.

 

Georgia Medical Center Authority

Daniel Rahn, 54, Augusta, GA, At Large Representative- Rahn is President of the Medical College of Georgia and serves as Chairman on the Board of Directors for the MCG Research Institute.  He also serves on the board of directors for the Georgia Cancer Coalition and the Georgia Research Alliance, and is a member of Georgia Health Decisions' Board of Trustees.  Rahn was Associate Professor of Medicine at Yale University and is Professor of Medicine with tenure at the Medical College of Georgia.  He was selected to receive the Rotary Club's highest honor, the Paul Harris Fellow, for outstanding service.  Rahn completed his undergraduate and graduate degrees in addition to his medical residency at Yale University.  He and his wife, Lana, have three children. 

 

Georgia Public Telecommunications Commission

Graylian Young, 54, Stone Mountain, GA, At Large Representative- Young is Executive Director of the Urban Youth Media Training Center.  He was the Southeast Bureau Chief at CNN for 19 years and received an Emmy Award for his team's coverage of the 1996 Olympic Park Bombing.  Young earned a degree in television, film and radio production from Boston University.  He and his wife, Gina, have two children. 

 

Children and Youth Coordinating Council

Elizabeth Hausmann, 45, Alpharetta , GA , 6 th Congressional District Representative- Hausmann is the Vice President of Operations for Southern Bank Supplies and serves on the Boards of the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce and the Fulton County Charitable Foundation.  She also serves on the Fulton County Board of Education and was the Vice Chairman of the Fulton County Board of Registrations and Elections.  She and her husband, Mike, have two children.

 

Civil War Commission

Thomas Rogers Wade, 63, Atlanta, GA, At Large Representative- Wade is the President and CEO of the Georgia Public Policy Foundation.  He has been active in Georgia business and politics for over thirty years.  Wade served as Chief of Staff for Senator Herman Talmadge.  He opened the Atlanta offices of Edington, Wade, and Associates, representing over half of the Fortune 100 companies in the United States and Europe.  Wade is a founding trustee of Leadership Georgia, a member of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce Board, and the U.S.O.  He is a trustee of the Richard B. Russell Foundation, the Gordon Foundation, the Professional Association of Georgia Educators Foundation, and the Fanning Leadership Institute at the University of Georgia.  Wade is a member of the Atlanta Rotary Club.  He and his wife, Marcia, reside in Sandy Springs.
