PAX Technologies to locate in Georgia; Governor Perdue Meets with Company Officials in China

BEIJING – Governor Sonny Perdue announced today that PAX Technology, Ltd., (PAX) of China will locate its U.S. headquarters in Georgia.  Governor Perdue made the announcement this morning after meeting with PAX senior officials in Beijing while on his economic development mission to China.

“I am pleased to welcome PAX Technology to Georgia,” said Governor Sonny Perdue. “PAX joins an ever-growing number of Chinese companies who are locating in our state thanks to Georgia’s business friendly environment.  With a low tax burden, robust infrastructure and a well-trained workforce, Georgia is a natural choice for growing businesses from across the globe.”

PAX is a global leader in providing secure card electronic payment systems and Point-of-Sales (POS) software.  The company is one of the fastest-growing POS manufacturers in China.

PAX will locate a sales and support center in the metro Atlanta area and hire up to 20 people.   The company delivers a variety of innovative products including high-performance, multi-application countertop and mobile POS terminals, pay-at-the-table terminals, high-security PIN pads, and other peripheral devices.

“We are very pleased about locating our U.S. headquarters in Georgia,” said Thomas Xu, Chairman and President of PAX Technology, Ltd.   “The state's logistics systems and access to markets, as well as its business-friendly environment will help our company grow.   We have found that Georgia is a very friendly place for Chinese companies and we look forward to our new home in metro Atlanta.”

PAX is a subsidiary of Hi Sun Technology Holdings, a member of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.   The company joins other Chinese businesses like Hailun Piano, Kingwasong, General Protecht and Sany Heavy Industries in Georgia locations.

Governor Perdue announced the company’s location during a five-day business mission to China, during which he formally opened the Georgia Beijing Business Advisory Center, Ltd., the state’s newest of 11 international outposts.
