Two Additional Counties Added to Hurricane Ivan Federal Disaster Declaration

ATLANTA - Governor Sonny Perdue announced today that Georgia has received approval from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to add Heard and Wilkes counties to a federal disaster declaration. With the addition of these two counties, a total of 26 counties have now been approved under the Ivan declaration.

"The full range of public infrastructure assistance will now be made available to these two counties," said Governor Sonny Perdue. "These resources will help local elected officials and citizens of Heard and Wilkes in their recovery efforts."
