Governor Perdue Announces Executive Appointments

ATLANTA - Governor Sonny Perdue announced today the following executive appointments.

Board of Economic Development

Philip S. “Phil” Jacobs, 55, Sandy Springs , GA, Sixth Congressional District Representative , (REAPPOINTMENT) - Jacobs is the president of Bellsouth Georgia, where he leads the development and implementation of the company's competitive sales and distribution strategy focused on multi – dwelling units, such as apartments, condominiums and large-scale housing developments.  He serves on the boards of the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education as the board chair, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta, the Georgia Aquarium, the CDC Foundation and the Woodruff Arts Center Board of Trustees.  In 2005, he was honored as Georgia Trend's Most Respected CEO.  Jacobs earned a bachelor's degree from Denison University .  He and his wife, Jenny, have three grown children.

Consumer Advisory Board

Martin A. Moore, 45, Flowery Branch, GA - Moore is the chief financial officer at Singer Worldwide, LLC and the president of BK Management Group, Inc.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Financial Executives Institute and is a former chair of Young Life of Hall County.  Moore earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Ohio University . He and his wife, Susan, have two children.

Georgia Child Fatality Review Panel

Vanita C. Hullander, 48, Tunnel Hill , GA , Coroner Representative (REAPPOINTMENT) - Hullander is the Catoosa County Coroner and was elected to this position in 1997.  She serves as a volunteer firefighter and is a member of the Georgia Coroners Association.  Hullander serves as chair of the Catoosa County Meth Task Force and co-chair of the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Domestic Violence Task Force.  She earned her associate's degree in business management from McKenzie College and is a licensed paramedic with extensive training in death investigation, child abuse, senior abuse and domestic violence.  Hullander and her husband, Eddie, have three children.

Board of Commissioners of the Judges of the Probate Courts Retirement Fund of Georgia

Gary P. Braddy, 66, Mt. Vernon , GA , Retired Probate Judge Representative - Braddy retired as a Montgomery County Probate Court judge after 36 years of service.  He now serves as a municipal court judge for the city of Mount Vernon and as the secretary and treasurer of Braddy Farms, Inc.  He is a member of the Montgomery County Board of Education, the board of Meadows Regional Medical Center, Inc., the Brewton Parker College board of trustees and the Montgomery County Farm Bureau Nominating Committee.  Braddy attended South Georgia College and Brewton Parker College .  He and his wife, Barbara, have four grown children.

J. Michael "Mike" Greene, 49, Gray , GA , Probate Judge Representative (REAPPOINTMENT) - Greene has been a judge of the Probate Court of Jones County since 1981.  He is president of the Jones County Rotary Club, past president of the County Officers Association of Georgia, past president of the Council of Probate Court Judges, past executive committee member of the Council of Magistrate Judges, and a member of the National College of Probate Court Judges.  Greene earned his associate's degree in business administration from Middle Georgia College and his bachelor's degree in business administration from Georgia College and State University .  He has one daughter.
