Wendy's/Arby's Group Confirms Atlanta Support Center Expansion Plans

ATLANTA – Governor Sonny Perdue and Wendy's/Arby's Group, Inc. (NYSE: WEN), the franchisor of the Wendy's® and Arby's® restaurant systems, announced today the Company's plans to expand its corporate support center in Georgia as a result of the recent merger of Triarc Companies, Inc. and Wendy’s International, Inc. The company expects to invest as much as $3.5 million in the expansion, lease an additional 50,000 square feet of office space and anticipates relocating at least 120 job positions to Atlanta from Ohio.

“We are pleased to welcome the increased corporate presence of these world-famous brands to Georgia,” said Governor Perdue. “Georgia continues to offer a healthy business environment and an outstanding customer service ethic that helps companies like the Wendy's/Arby's Group thrive and expand in our state.”

Wendy's/Arby's Group will have a consolidated support center based in Atlanta which will oversee public company responsibilities and shared service functions.  The headquarters and restaurant support staff of the Wendy's brand will remain in Dublin, Ohio and the headquarters and restaurant support staff of the Arby’s brand will remain in Atlanta, Georgia.
